Half of people using contact lenses don’t wash their hands before inserting them, exposing themselves to a range of nasty eye diseases. This was revealed in a report commissioned by Optometry Australia in November 2019 to survey Australians attitudes to eye health. The resulting 2020 Vision Index report covers many topics such as glasses, contact lenses, eye conditions, disease, nutrition, workplace, driving, sport and digital behaviour. Read it here
