Your opportunity to learn more about keratoconus and its management, to ask questions and to hear from others about their experiences living with keratoconus.

Clinical Professor Stephanie Watson, a corneal specialist and head of the Fight Corneal Blindness module of Save Sight Registries, will discuss keratoconus, various treatment options currently available, research developments and answer your questions.

Patients with lived experience of the condition will share their personal journey, including keratoconus patient Ms Michelle Urquhart who will facilitate the session, and Ms Margaret Lam and Mr Mark Koszek will share their extensive experience in contact lens fitting for keratoconus patients.

Find out more about the world’s first large-scale assessment of collagen cross linking, an increasingly common approach to treating keratoconus. The SSI’s crosslinking registry was recently launched with the support of Keratoconus Australia and will play a critical role in determining the safety and effectiveness of crosslinking in halting the progression of keratoconus.

Refreshments provided. Registration is free but essential as spaces are limited.

This event is delivered in conjunction with Keratoconus Australia.

People of all ages with keratoconus, and their families, are invited to attend.

Speakers: L-R Professor Stephanie Watson, Michelle Urquhart, Margaret Lam and Mark Koszek
